A tactical training session on Abegondo's main pitch

11/02/2021 18:51

Due to the ongoing rain, the Branquiazuis decided to move this afternoon's session from ABANCA-RIAZOR to Abegondo's main pitch.

The reason was to maintain and protect the stadium's turf ahead of this Sunday's game against CD Guijuelo (5pm, TVG).

Despite just being an hour-long, the session was a tactical one, in which Rubén focused on aspects such as building up play and attacking moves.

Adri Castro, who was in yesterday's starting eleven for Fabril against Paiosaco, joined the first team in the afternoon session after having had a recovery session in the morning. Youth goalkeepers Alberto and Pablo Brea took part in both sessions today.

Keko, who had a specific workout, was the only player that did not train outdoors.

The lads return to Abegondo tomorrow at 11am for another training session.

Training in the rain!

This morning, the lads trained in heavy and ongoing rain in Abegondo.

Rubén de la Barrera was able to count on all his players, including Lucho García, who has been training with goalkeeper coach, Alberto Casal and also wearing a protective mask at all times.

The Deportivista coach was also able to count on Fabril goalkeepers Alberto and Pablo Brea, who played against Paiosaco last night.

After a warm-up with the ball, the team carried out an attacking and finishing drill, a possession drill, and finished off with a small-sided game.
