Adrian: “We still believe we're going to overcome this”

In Abegondo’s press room this afternoon, Adrian Lopez highlighted that “we're sure the way we’re working is the right track. We’re all aware that there has been a change in the team, regardless of the fact that we still haven’t achieved the results we want. But we're all on the same path and we still believe we’re going to overcome this.”

For this reason, he assured that “we have to keep working, we have to continue improving each day. The sensations in the team when it comes to work, when it comes to the way we plan matches, when it comes to the intensity we play train with, that we’re playing our matches with. We believe that’s the way and we have to keep going.”

The Asturian striker confessed that “when the match ends the only thing we can do is pull through the bad moment. The coach always gives us a pep-talk after the match. It’s positive. It’s what we need to get out of this situation."

He understands the fans’ disappointment: “If I were a fan, I would also be disappointed with my team, because I want to see my team win, I want to watch my team play the best they can. It’s normal but they have to know we give our all. We try to do our best so that Dépor wins.”

Along these lines, he said that “it’s obvious that we need the points, a victory. We’re working, we're trying to achieve it. The moment hasn’t come yet. I’m sure that each day that goes by, we’re closer to our goal.”

In his opinion, “there’s no use in being negative. We’re in a rut but we have to get out of it. We have to keep fighting, keep working, keep improving the things we aren’t doing well. The victory we’re hoping for will come at some point. I hope that it’s this Saturday,” against Eibar at the Estadio ABANCA-RIAZOR (6:30 pm, Bein LaLiga).

He defined the Basque team as “a team that has been doing good seasons these last few years. It’s a solidary, hard-working and quite compact team. It’s going to be a tough game but we have to make things even more difficult for them.”
