#ANosaHistoria World Cup clash between Borges and Schär ends in a draw

Celso Borges and Fabian Schär made Branquiazul history last night at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium for the last Group E match.
Both players, like in the previous 2 games, started up for their teams and played the entire match.
The match was a head-to-head clash that ended 2-2. Costa Rica started off better and Celso nearly scored a splendid header which was denied by Yann Sommer with the right post’s help.
The Swiss did not waste any chances and took the lead in two occasions. The ‘Ticos’ never gave up and finished their World Cup competition on a positive note.
Switzerland ended in second place behind Brazil and get through to the next round. They will play against Sweden on Tuesday 3 July at 4 pm in the St Petersburg Stadium.
Even though Panama play tomorrow, there will be no Dépor representatives as Ismael Diaz is ruled out due to suffering a knee injury in a training session.
According to the Panama Football Federation, the medical test have revealed that the player has a “bone contusion in the external femoral condyle of his right knee.” The Fabrilista striker is ruled out for his national team’s last game against Tunisia on Thursday at 8 pm.
