Borja Jiménez Sáez (Avila, 21 January 1985) has been appointed as the new Real Club Deportivo Head Coach for the next two seasons.

The new Dépor coach began his career in Real Valladolid B during the 2015-2016 season, in which he led 27 games for the Pucelano B team. The following two seasons he trained CD Izarra and Rapido de Bouzas respectively. His great performance in Second B with the Olívico team, debutants in the category, and who ended one step away from the play-offs for the promotion to Second Division, led him to CD Mirandés. In Castilian lands, he beat his excellent records of the previous season in Bouzas, which helped him achieve promotion to Second Division with 80 points, 60 goals, and 22 victories, in addition to winning the Federation Cup. His next experience was also a success, repeating the same milestone of promotion after picking up the baton from former Deportivista Munúa who went to coach Nacional de Montevideo, at FC Cartagena. He also had the opportunity to coach the Murcian team for half a season in the Second Division in his LaLiga debut. Between Miranda and Cartagena Borja Jiménez made the leap to the international level, specifically to Greece's First Division to take over Asteras Tripoli.

Borja Jiménez now begins, with the help of the Club's chief scout, the planning of the 2021-2022 Season in which he will lead the team accompanied by Álex Martínez López (Barcelona, 3 April 1973) as an assistant coach and Luis Rodríguez Fandiño (A Coruña, 22 January 1978), Fabril's current fitness coach.

Jiménez and his staff will take over at the helm of the first men's team that Rubén de la Barrera, José Manuel Martínez Paz 'Secho' and Julio Hernando have left after ending their contract with Deportivo at the end of this season. The Club would like to sincerely thank them for the work carried out these months in A Coruña and to wish them the best of luck in their future professional projects.
