Jaime Sánchez Muñoz (Chiclana de la Frontera, Cádiz, 11 March 1995) has joined Real Club Deportivo for the next season.

The centre-back from Cádiz, who has signed for one season, has arrived after having finished his contract at CE Sabadell, for whom he played in Spain’s second tier last season. The Andalusian defender joined the rest of his teammates in this afternoon’s training session after having passed the medical examination in the Quirón clinic in A Coruña.

Jaime was developed at EF Sancti Petri (2002-2009), the team from which he leaped to Cádiz CF, where he played grassroots football for three seasons (2009-2012). He was then signed by Real Madrid, where he finished the development phase and played for Real Madrid C and Real Madrid Castilla, both in Segunda División B.

After being loaned out to CE Sabadell during the 2016-2017 season, he went on to join Real Valladolid in 2018, where he played for the B team and played the playoffs to promote to Segunda during his second season in 2019-2020.

Throughout his senior years, Jaime has played a total of 66 matches in Segunda División B, 32 games in Spain’s second tier with CE Sabadell last season - in which he also scored a goal.

Furthermore, Jaime has also played for Spain’s youth teams: U17 (5 matches in 2012), U18 (2 in 2013), U19 (12 from 2013 to 2014), and U21 (1 in 2014). He played the final phase of the 2013 U19 UEFA Championship, alongside former Deportivista José Rodríguez, where Spain was defeated by France in the semi-finals.
