Lucas Pérez returns to Deportivo on loan from Arsenal

Lucas Pérez Martínez (A Coruña, 10 September 1988) will play for RC Deportivo this season, on loan without the option to buy.

The striker from A Coruña will land at 11:30 pm tonight, in A Coruña airport.

Transferred to Arsenal a year ago, Lucas returns to Deportivo for what will be his third season.

The Branquiazul striker came to Deportivo on loan from PAOK in 2014-2015, in which injuries prevented him from having continuity. However, he played 21 games and scored 6 goals.

In the summer of 2015, Lucas returned to PAOK, where he played the qualifying stage of the Europa League. With LaLiga about to start, Dépor signed him and witnessed the best season of his career (2015-2016), in which he scored 17 goals in 37 games, which proved to be vital for Dépor to stay in First Division.

Lucas began the 2016-2017 season in A Coruña, where he scored the winning goal against Eibar in the first league match. A few days later, he was signed by Arsenal.

Lucas has played a total of 59 matches (58 in First Division and 1 in Copa del Rey) with Deportivo, and has scored 24 goals (all in Primera).

RC Deportivo would like to thank all the Arsenal FC professionals that have worked alongside their Branquiazul fellows throughout the past few days to get Lucas back to wearing #ASNOSASCORES (Our Colours) in the recently begun season.
