Marlos Moreno spoke to the media in Riazor’s press room after the friendly against Fabril. Asked about how he is adapting to European football, he was grateful to Pepe Mel for counting on him: “He’s giving me minutes. And that is helping me handle it better”.

He confessed that like Gaizka Garitano, Mel “asks me to occupy the spaces well, to exploit my strength, which is my speed”.

Regarding the Chairman’s presence in this morning’s training session in Riazor, Marlos said, “He always generates trust, that we have to insist, continue working, getting ready for what lieas ahead”.

Despite being several months without entering the team, Marlos Moreno stated he didn’t regret having joined European football: “I don’t regret it. When a player comes to Europe from South America they find it complicated. I’m not the only one this has happened to.
I’m very calm which is what’s important. We have to keep on working and not let our guard down. I have good qualities. With God’s help and work, I know that one day it will explode. That’s why I’m very calm”.

Referring to his future, he said “the people here treat me remarkably well, I have great teammates, the coach and his staff give me confidence. We have to wait and see how the season ends. On a personal and team level, we will try to finish the best way possible”.

The Deportivista forward highlighted that he is “having more minutes. I’ve adapted a little more. I think it’s important”.

He said the team is “very calm. We’re all on the right track to achieve the objective, which is to save ourselves. We’re very sure we are going to save ourselves”.

The Colombian international recalled that “we’ve done really well in previous matches and unfortunately we didn’t obtain positive results. And there are games that you play badly and get good results. We have to keep on working”.
