This morning, in the first of the two sessions scheduled for today, Rubén de la Barrera began to redesign Dépor ahead of Sunday's game against Salamanca CF UDS at the El Helmántico (4pm, Footters). 

Supervised by the new fitness coach, Julio Hernando, the lads began with a warm-up that included rondos. Rubén de la Barrera then arranged a series of matches on three-quarters of pitches 2 and 3, in which he gave constant instructions to his players. 

In the afternoon, the squad trained at the ABANCA-RIAZOR behind closed doors, in a session in which Rubén de la Barrera prepared an attacking tactical exercise. Just like in the morning, Bóveda, Uche, Keko, Claudio Beauvue, Héctor, Diego Rolan, Miku and Valín had a specific workout.

Salva Ruiz gave today's press conference in Abegondo. Regarding the departure of Fernando Vázquez, the Deportivista full-back commented that "it is always hard when a coach leaves, and more so because of what Fernando Vázquez means to both the fans and to the dressing room. Every day he conveyed passion, enthusiasm, and most of all, his love for Deportivo. The dressing room acknowledges its share of blame for not having been able to carry out the ideas that the coach wanted."

Regarding Rubén de la Barrera's arrival, he stated that "it was very intense, very dynamic, and above all, he has conveyed that desire for us to be dominant, to carry out our ideas and to get what we want to happen during the matches and not what the rival has prepared."
