Real Club Deportivo's new chairman, Antonio Couceiro, accompanied by some of the Board Members (Eduardo Blanco, Emma Lustres and David Villasuso), visited the Abegondo Training Centre this afternoon to see the facilities and meet the players of the men's and women's team.

After completing all the administrative procedures on Wednesday for the new members to take on their role in the Board, the new chairman continued with the meetings that began last Tuesday to get a first-hand grasp of the internal situation of the Club.

There will be continuous meetings over the next few weeks with the entire staff of all of Real Club Deportivo's departments in order to have all the necessary information before making any public statements on the current situation in which this new project and the line of work to be developed will begin.

The first meeting took place this afternoon in Abegondo's training facilities where they met the players of the men's first team before they began their second session of the day and the women's first team.

The Board conveyed their faith in the teams, and gave words of support and encouragement to the players and the coaching staff, guaranteeing the continuity of the sports and social project whatever the final result of the season. As well as giving them peace of mind, the Board also asked the first team for their full commitment as the future and the tier Deportivo will play in next season depends on their work and their results at the weekend. The chairman also said that it is still possible to pull this off, he told them to keep their heads up and compete until the very end to achieve the objective with which they started the season.

The second meeting took place with all the members of Dépor ABANCA, to whom the chairman also conveyed his full support and encouraged them to continue with the great work of recent weeks, and he promised to dedicate more time and space to them as chairman of the Club.

Once they finished talking to the squads, Antonio Couceiro chaired the first Board meeting in which Carlos Cantó (a new Board member) also participated via video conference.
