A tepid draw against Guijuelo (0-0)

Fernando Vázquez returned to the dugout after a five-month ban and made several changes to the previous squad. Bóveda, Salva and Granero returned to the back four, and Galán and Miku made their first appearance in the line-up. Also, Bergantiños and Lara were benched for the first time this season.

The first ten minutes were very slipshod and were an indicator of what was to come. It was in the 12th minute that Salva put Sarkauskas, the local goalkeeper, to the test. The Branquiazul left-back's free kick forced the keeper to punch the ball out and give Dépor a corner kick, but to no avail. Miku had the clearest goal-scoring opportunity but his powerful shot was blocked by Carlos Rubén.

The locals had the clearest chance in the middle of the first half as Cristobal Gil's left-footed shot went slightly wide. Shortly after, Guijuelo were given a free kick which was taken by Jonathan, who was playing his 300th match for the Salamanca team as well as being their captain, however, his shot smashed into the Branquiazul defence.

Half-time came and went, but the second half did not improve. In fact, the game got scrappier and there were less chances. Towards the end of the second half, Kike Pina put Carlos Abad to work with a long-range shot; the Deportivista goalie had to parry the ball out. Dépor retaliated and in a corner kick, Borges' shot was blocked by Guijuelo's defenders.

Deportivo sealed a point and are still at the top of the table, together with Pontevedra, with 11 points out of 15.
