Adrian Lopez stated in Abegondo's press room this morning, that at the Camp Nou on Sunday (8:45 pm, Movistar Partidazo), “If we’re able to defend well, we will have options to hurt them.”

The Deportivista forward highlighted that Dépor’s options of bringing back a positive result “are real, of course they’re real. It’s obvious we can do it. We have to do everything possible to try and achieve it. It’s also obvious it’s difficult.”

He confessed that “many things have to come together for us to gain something positive. You have to play a perfect match, they have to have a bad day. You know you’re going to a place that’s complicated to get something out of there.”

He sees the team are “excited, keen to go there and compete well, and try to get something out of there. We’re excited and enthusiastic to compete well and try and play a good match there.”

Asked about the combination play between Adrian-Çolak-Carles Gil, he said, “every player is important here. Çolak’s another player, and there are other teammates as well as Çolak. At the end of the day, we’re a team, you cannot think in one trio or duo. We’re a team here, and those on the pitch have to give their all for the good of the team.”

On a personal level, he believes he has to “carry on improving every day because I can still be at a better level. And that’s what we all want, to give our best performance for the good of the team. I hope we can still give our fans joy and for them to think the best of us.”

He has fond memories of the Camp Nou, as it is where he scored his first goal in First Division and with Dépor eleven years ago: “It was a long aerial ball which I disputed with Carles Puyol. As soon as we landed on the floor, we both reacted quickly to get to the ball. I got there before and was able to get to the goal. He was coming quickly behind.

Once I was in the box, he couldn’t tackle much in case he gave a penalty away. Valdes was coming out, I stepped on the ball a little and chipped it slightly. I was lucky because it went between his hands. The same way it went through there, he could’ve saved it. It was a good goal, yes,” he recalled.
