Borges and Francis were in their national teams’ starting eleven, and Schär played the last 20 minutes

Today, three Dépor players had their last friendlies before the 2018 Russia World Cup. Celso Borges, Fabian Schär and Fabrilista Francis Uzoho.

Their national teams, Costa Rica, Switzerland and Nigeria, have all qualified for the World Cup.

Celso Borges lost against Tunisia

Costa Rica with Celso Borges, got ready for the next World Cup with two matches against Scotland and Tunisia.

The ‘Ticos’ played Tunisia today, at the Allianz Riviera in Nice, France. Costa Rica lost 1-0 and Celso played the whole match.

Last Friday, Costa Rica beat Scotland (0 -1) at the Hampden Park stadium in Glasgow. The Deportivista midfielder also played the entire 90 minutes.

Borges is scheduled to come back to A Coruña on Wednesday 28th at 5 pm.

Schär played the last 20 minutes against Panama

Switzerland counted on Fabian Schär for the last two friendlies before the World Cup.

Their second match took place today at the Swissporarena in Lucerne against Panama.

Swizterland thrashed Panama 6-0. This time, Schär was not in the Swiss line-up. He cam on in the 69th minute, with the game already won.

Last Friday, Switzerland beat Greece (0-1) in Athens. Schär played the entire match.

The Branquiazul centre-back will return to A Coruña on Wednesday at 5 pm.

Francis in Nigeria’s line-up lost against Serbia

Deportivista goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho, was called up by Nigeria for their two matches ahead of the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Today, the Nigerians played against Serbia at the Hive Stadium in London. This time, the Nigerians lost 2-0, with Francis in the starting eleven throught the whole match.

Last Friday, Nigeria beat Poland (0-1) in Wroclaw The Fabril keeper played the entire game.
