Dépor’s first training session of 2021
This morning, Deportivo completed the first training session of 2021. However, today's highight was that Borja Granero carried out the first part of the session with the team, just as the Medical Staff had planned.
Miku and Borja Galán trained separately, whereas Gandoy and Adri Castro are still confined at home. Derik and Héctor completed some drills with the team and the rest with the team's rehab fitness coach, Fran Molano. And lastly, Uche is on his way back from Nigeria.
Fabril players Pablo Brea, Manu Mosquera and Barba, as well as U19s Juan Rodríguez and Trilli, all trained with the first team today.
José Alonso Lara was the first player to speak to the press in 2021.
The Branquiazul forward acknowledged that Deportivo are the underdogs in the next Copa del Rey match against First Division side, Alavés. However, he did warn, "we're keen and hoping to win. We know we're fighting to achieve an objective, but the Cup is also important, and we're going out to win."
