Diego Aguirre Parra (Toledo, October 17, 1990) has become a new Real Club Deportivo player for the next season after ending his contract with CD Numancia.

Developed in his hometown, he also made the leap to professional football in the ranks of CD Toledo. After two seasons in Toledo's B team, he made his debut with the first team in the 2011-2012 season, in Second Division B. He played three seasons for CD Toledo, two in Second Division B (58 games and 7 goals) and one in Third.

His last season saw him play the playoff for promotion to the Second Division in which CD Toledo was eliminated by Lleida Esportiu; this attracted the interest of Rayo Vallecano, who signed him in the summer of 2014. As of then, Diego Aguirre played five consecutive seasons in Second Division: the first two on loan at CD Leganés (36 games and 2 goals) and Real Oviedo (24 games), the next two with Rayo Vallecano (37 games and 3 goals) and the last one, 2018-2019, at Real Zaragoza (20 games), where he joined them with a three-year contract.

However, after only one season he was transferred to Apollon Limassol. He played for two seasons in the Cypriot side (25 games and 1 goal), in which he was also able to make his debut in European competition, playing 11 games in the Europa League. Last summer he joined CD Numancia to play in Segunda B, a tier in which he has played a total of 70 games, as well as the 117 he accumulated in Second Division plus the 25 in the Cypriot championship and 11 in the Europa League.
