Emre Çolak pre-selected for Turkey

Emre Çolak has been pre-selected by Turkey for two official matches to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Thus, Turkey will visit Ukraine on Saturday 2 September in Kharkiv, and on Tuesday 5, they will play Croatia at home in the city of Eskisehir.

The Turkish Football Federation will announce the final list on Friday 25 August. If he were to finally be selected, the Branquiazul midfielder would have to join the rest of his national teammates on Tuesday 28 August.

Celso Borges called again by Costa Rica

Celso Borges and Costa Rica will have two complicated rivals in September to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Thus, on Friday 1 September, Costa Rica will play USA at the Red Bull Arena in Harrison (New Jersey, 6:55 pm, local time).

On Tuesday 5 September, they will face Mexico (Estadio Nacional de San José, 8:05 pm, local time), one of the favourites to qualify for the World Cup.

The Deportivista midfielder will have to join his national side’s camp on Sunday 27 August, right after Dépor’s match in Ciutat de Valencia against Levante, on Saturday 26 August at 8:15 pm (Bein LaLiga).

Florin Andone will face Armenia and Montenegro with Romania

The Romanian Football Federation has informed RC Deportivo that they are counting on Florin Andone for two official matches, to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Thus, Romania will face Armenia on Friday 1 September, in Bucharest, and on Monday 4 September, they will visit Montenegro in Podgorica.

Andone will have to join his national side’s camp on Sunday 27 August, just like Celso Borges.

Uruguay call Fede Valverde for two qualifying matches for the World Cup

The Uruguayan Football Federation have called Fede Valverde for their next encounters to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup, in which La Celeste have to face Argentina and Paraguay at the end of August and beginning of September.

This is the first time the national side call the young Branquiazul midfielder, who was awarded the Silver Ball in 2017 U20 World Cup, in which Uruguay reached the semi-finals.

Uruguay will face Argentina in Montevideo on 31 August (8 pm local time), and will visit Paraguay on 5 September (8 pm local time).

La Celeste currently occupies the third position in South America’s qualifying stage. The first four will go straight to compete in Russia, whilst the fifth will have to play against Oceania’s champion, and the winner of this game will also play in the World Cup.
