Fabian Schär will play in the World Cup with Switzerland

The Swiss Football Association have informed RC Deportivo that Fabian Schär has been called to play in the 2018 Russia World Cup.

The Deportivista defender will join the team on Sunday 27 May in Lugano.

It was a known secret that he would get called, as Schär was a regular starter for Switzerland in every qualifier and friendly this past year.

Switzerland’s World Cup fixtures are as follows:

Sunday 17 June
9 pm: BRAZIL - SWITZERLAND at the Rostov Arena

Friday 22 June
8 pm: SERBIA - SWITZERLAND at the Kaliningrad stadium

Wednesday 27 June
9 pm: SWITZERLAND - COSTA RICA, at the Nizhny Novgorod stadium

Switzerland will also play two friendlies: Sunday 3 June at the Madrigal in Villarreal (9 pm) against Spain, and on Friday 8 June in Lugano (7 pm) against Japan.

The first friendly prior the World Cup on Monday for Fabrilista Francis

On Monday 28 June, Deportivista Francis will have his first pre-World Cup friendly with Nigeria. It will be in the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt (Nigeria), against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Nigeria will also play 2 other friendlies:  on Saturday 2 June against England in London, and on Wednesday 6 June in Austria against the Czech Republic.

Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr, has picked 30 players of which he will finally choose 23.

Ismael Diaz and Panama will play against Northern Ireland on Tuesday 29th

Fabrilista Ismael Diaz is one of the 35 players called by Panama ahead of the 2018 Russia World Cup.

At the end of May, Panama’s Colombian coach, Hernan Dario Gomez, will publish the final list of 23 players.

On the 29th of May (8 pm, Local time), Panama will play a friendly against Northern Ireland at the Rommel Fernandez stadium in the City of Panama.

Krohn-Dehli called for Denmark’s pre-selection

Deportivista Michael Khron-Dehli has made it into Denmark’s first squad list.

Denmark's coach, Age Hareide, will publish the final list of 23 players on the 26th or 27th of May.

Denmark will also play two friendlies on Monday 2 June against Sweden at the Friends Arena in Stockholm (7:45 pm), and on Monday 9 June against Mexico at the Brondby Stadium in Brondby, Denmark (8 pm).

Fede Valverde is training every day in Uruguay's training centre

Fede Valverde is already training on a daily basis with Uruguay in Uruguay Football Association’s training centre.

Uruguay also have a confirmed friendly on 7 June at 8 pm (local time) at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo against Uzbekistan.

Celso Borges in Costa Rica

Costa Rica Football Federation have confirmed that Celso Borges, who has been training with the national team, will form part of the squad that will go to Russia.

Before the 3rd of June, the Ticos will say farewell to their fans with a friendly match against Northern Ireland in San Jose. Already in Europe, they will face England in Leeds (7 June) and Belgium in Brussels (11 June).
