Fayçal, Andone and Kakuta lined up with their national sides

Three Deportivo players had international games on Saturday: Fayçal (with Morocco), Andone (with Romania), and Kakuta (with DR Congo). The three of them were in the starting XI.

Morocco, with Fayçal, lost against Cameroon

On Saturday 10 June, Morocco, with Fayçal Fajr in the starting XI, visited Cameroon to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations which will be held in Yaounde.

Morocco lost 1-0 and Fayçal played the whole match. The Deportivista midfielder had a few good chances to score.

The blue-and-white midfielder, Fayçal Fajr started for Morocco in their friendly against Holland on Wednesday at the Adrar stadium. Ha came off for Bammou in the last minute. Holland won 1-2.

Florin Andone started against Poland

Romania, with Florin Andone in the starting XI, visited Poland on Saturday to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

The Deportivista striker played the entire match in which Poland won 3-1.

They will then face Chile for a friendly match that will take place in the city of Cluj.

Kakuta beat Congo

Blue-and-white player, Gaël Kakuta faced Congo at the Stade des Martyrs in Kinshasha to qualify for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

Kakuta was in the starting XI and played 60 minutes. The Deportivista forward participated actively in his team’s victory (3-1).

DR Congo played a friendly against Botswana in Rabat on Monday. The Congolese won 2-0 without Kakuta, who did not play as they were probably thinking ahead for next Saturday’s official match.

An important match for Emre Çolak’s Turkey against Kosovo

Tonight, Turkey will play a qualifier for the 2018 Russia World Cup against Kosovo at 8:45 pm, in the Albanese city of Shkoder at the Loro Borici Stadium. Both games are to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Turkey, with Emre Çolak in the line-up, played a friendly away match against Macedonia in the capital city of Skopje.

The match ended 0-0 and Dépor’s midfielder came off in the 79th minute for Yilmaz.

An exhausting match for Celso Borges with Costa Rica

On Thursday 8 June, Costa Rica, with Celso Borges in the squad, drew 0-0 against Panama in the capital city at the Estadio Nacional de San José at 8 pm (local time).

It was a very tiring match for the blue-and-white midfielder who played the full ninety minutes as Costa Rica’s central defender was sent off in the 54th minute.

On Tuesday 13 June, the ‘Ticos’ will face Trinidad and Tobago at the same time and place.

Both games are to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.
