Fernando Navarro stated in Estadio de Riazor’s mixed zone that “the team tried until the end, it drained itself out. We weren’t precise. There are two fixtures left. There’s no use falling apart. We depend on ourselves”.

One of Deportivo’s most experienced players acknowledged that Arribas, the accidental protagonist of Espanyol’s first goal, is “down, but he has experience. He has been in Primera for many years. It’s more noticeable when a defender or a keeper makes a mistake. We all know his level, what a good defender he is”.

The Deportivista left-back indicated that “it is a complicated season, with many highs and lows. We hope to seal it in the matches that are left. The team gives its all but is unable to get results”.

Ola John, who debuted in the starting XI today, said, “we’re not worried, there are still two games left, and we have to do it ourselves”.

In his opinion, “we played very defensively in the first half, and in the second half the trainer changed Emre Çolak’s position to number 10, and we attacked well. We had more space down the middle and we were able to attack from the sides”.

On a personal level, the Dutch forward believes that he “worked well. It was a pity we couldn’t win”.
