Fernando Vázquez keeps the intensity high

Ahead of Sunday's game against Unionistas de Salamanca CF for the second knockout round of the Copa del Rey (12pm), Fernando Vázquez keeps demanding high intensity from his players.

The Branquiazul coach made the dimensions of pitch number 2 smaller for a match, which was today's main task. The coach prepared the players for what they will find at the Pistas del Helmántico on Sunday: a rival from a lower tier, but will play at maximum speed.

The demanding morning concluded with the squad divided into two groups: whilst one played a small-sided match, the other completed a fitness circuit, and at the end, both groups played an almost full-practice match.

Fernando Vázquez called up Fabrilistas Mujaid, Boian and midfielder Kanouté for today's session.

Bóveda, who has a strained quadriceps and David Simón trained separately, whilst Koné worked with rehab fitness coach Fran Molano.

Tomorrow, the team will return to Abegondo at 9:30am and will begin to train at 10:30am.
