Francis’ historic debut as the first Fabril player ever in the World Cup

The Russia World Cup kicked off today for RC Deportivo’s ambassadors.
The first to debut was Francis, who played as Nigeria’s goalkeeper against Croatia (2-0), for the first Group D match.
The young Deportivista is the first Fabril player to ever compete in the World Cup.
Francis was not able to do much against Croatia’s two goals, one of them a penalty. The Dépor player even denied Croatia a third with a great save in stoppage time.
Michael Krohn-Dehli did not get to play in Denmark’s victory over Peru (0-1).
Celso Borges with Costa Rica, and Fabian Schär with Swizerland will have their turn tomorrow. The ‘Ticos’ will face Serbia (2 pm) and the Swiss against Brazil (8 pm).
Panama’s historic debut with Fabrilista Ismael Diaz, will take place on Monday 18 June.
