The Russia World Cup kicked off today for RC Deportivo’s ambassadors.

The first to debut was Francis, who played as Nigeria’s goalkeeper against Croatia (2-0), for the first Group D match.

The young Deportivista is the first Fabril player to ever compete in the World Cup.

Francis was not able to do much against Croatia’s two goals, one of them a penalty. The Dépor player even denied Croatia a third with a great save in stoppage time.

Michael Krohn-Dehli did not get to play in Denmark’s victory over Peru (0-1).
