Great news for Francis and Krohn-Dehli; not so great for Fede Valverde

This weekend 4 Deportivistas have pre-World Cup friendlies with their national teams: Celso Borges, Fabian Schär, Michael Krohn-Dehli and Fabrilista Francis Uzoho.

The last two played today with Denmark and Nigeria. Both were in their team’s line-up.

Tomorrow, Celso Borges will play in San Jose, Costa Rica, and Schär in Villarreal against Spain.

Tonight, Ismael Diaz is on his way to Oslo (Norway) with Panama, and Fede Valverde has been dropped from Tabarez’s squad of 23 players to represent Uruguay.

Francis in the starting eleven against England

Nigeria, with Fabril goalkeeper Francis in the line-up, faced England today in Wembley stadium for another friendly (2 -1).

The Fabrilista keeper played the entire match and saved his team from conceding more goals with some superb saves.

Last Monday, Deportivista Francis played his first pre-World Cup friendly with Nigeria. It was in the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt (Nigeria), against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Fabrilista goalkeeper played the entire game in which they drew 1-1. Francis only conceded one goal and it was because Nigeria’s rivals were given a penalty as Nigerian defender Ola Aina pushed a rival in the box.

Nigeria have another friendly scheduled on Wednesday 6 June (3 pm), against the Czech Republic at the NV Arena in St Poelten (Austria).

Krohn-Dehli in Denmark’s line-up against Sweden today

Deportivista Michael Krohn-Dehli has passed Denmark’s pre-selection of 35 men and has been chosen by Norwegian coach Åge Hareide for the next cut.

Out of the initial 35, Denmark now have a 27-men squad, in which the Branquiazul midfielder is included. 23 players will be chosen to represent the Scandinavian team in Russia.

Today, the Danish team drew against Sweden (0-0) in the Scandinavian derby. Krohn-Dehli was in the line-up and came off for Lasse Schöne in the 60th minute.

On 9 June (8 pm), Denmark will face Mexico at the Brøndby stadium in Brøndby (Denmark).

Costa Rica will say farewell to their fans tomorrow

Now that Keylor Navas has joined Costa Rica and Branquiazul midfielder, Celso Borges, the national team are finally training all together.

Uruguay’s Federation made the most of the team being together and took the official photograph.

Tomorrow, the Ticos will say farewell to their fans with a friendly match against Northern Ireland in San Jose.

Already in Europe, they will face England in Leeds (7 June) and Belgium in Brussels (11 June).

Fabian Schär against Spain in Villarreal

Fabian Schär's Switzerland is preparing for the 2018 Russia World Cup in Lugano.

Tomorrow at 9 pm, the Swiss have their first preliminary friendly. It will be against Spain at the Estadio de la Ceramica in Villarreal.

Back in Lugano, Switzerland will play another friendly against Japan on Friday 8 June (7 pm).

Panama on their way to Oslo (Norway) from the U.S.A.

Panama’s national team coach, Hernan Dario Gomez has confirmed that Fabrilista Imael Diaz has made it into Panama’s 23-men squad for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

On Wednesday night, Panama played in front of their fans before leaving to Europe, where they drew 0-0 against Northern Ireland at the Rommel Fernandez stadium, in which Fabrilista striker played the last 30 minutes.

Tonight, Panama travel to Oslo (Norway), after a layover in New York. They will face Norway in the Norwegian capital on Wednesday 6 June, at the Ullevaal Stadium at 7 pm, for the last preliminary friendly.

Before leaving, Panama's international players received a talk about measures against discrimination, racism and match-fixing ahead of the World Cup. The talk was given by Yordis Solis, the integrity officer in Panama’s Football Federation.

Fede Valverde is dropped from Uruguay squad

Today, Uruguay’s coach, Oscar Washing Tabarez, published the list of 23 players that will go to the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Dépor player, Fede Valverde, who has trained with the squad up until now, has been dropped.

Therefore, the Branquiazul player will begin his summer holidays.
