Guilherme was the centre of attention in Abegondo this morning. He acknowledged that with the international break, the players “are missing playing. It’s time to train hard for the next match on Sunday”, at La Rosaleda against Malaga (12 pm, Bein LaLiga).

He stated that Dépor will go to Malaga “to win, with all due respect. If we win the three points, it’s going to be very important for how the season goes.”

Asked about Malaga’s bad streak (they only have 4 points), Guilherme believes “they’re a good team, we are aware of the quality they have. We have to be concentrated and begin the match alert.”

He admitted the “need a good result. We have to be intelligent, play strong, play a good match, and I’m sure we’ll have the opportunities of obtaining a positive result.”

After the away win in Las Palmas, the Brazilian midfielder highlighted “we are more confident and believe we can win away. We needed to play a good game against Las Palmas.”

Guilherme was happy for Fede Cartabia and Luisinho’s return: “I’m happy to see them back, especially Carles (Gil), who’s been out for so long.”

Guilherme explained that with Cristobal’s arrival “there was a slight change in attitude. We’re more aggressive, we’re playing the way the Club deserves and I’m sure we’ll climb further up in the standings.”

The Deportivista coach wants Guilherme to “go up a little more, and not always be helping the defender. I have to go up and mark their number 10. Not to worry about helping the defence and go up a little more, without fear, to be stronger there. We’ve already noticed that difference in the games we’ve played. I like it because I can go up a bit, and be on top of the person I’m marking.”
