In four days Schär has played two full games for Switzerland and has won both

The Branquiazul defender played the entire match and will return to Coruña tomorrow.
The Swiss have 24 points and sit at the top of Group B of the European Qualifiers for the World Cup, with Portugal 3 points behind in second place.
Deportivista central defender, Fabian Schär started for Switzerland in their win against Andorra at the Kybunpark in St Gallen (3-0).
Schär played the whole match in which the state of the pitch stole the limelight as it was completely waterlogged due to the heavy rainfall in St Gallen.
Andone and Pantilimon visit Montenegro tomorrow
Tomorrow, the Romanian side will visit Montenegro at the Podgorica City Stadium (8:45 pm, local time). The match is to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.
The Romanians are fourth in Group E with 9 points, 7 points away from Poland who are at the top, and 4 points away from second place, which would allow them to play the play-off.
Florin Andone lined up for Romania in their World Cup qualifying match against Armenia at the National Arena in Bucharest. The Romanians grabbed a winner in the 90th minute (1-0) thanks to a goal by Maxim.
The Deportivista striker played the whole match and had a few good chances to score. Goalkeeper Pantilimon, who signed for Dépor that same day, was a substitute.
Tytoń in Warsaw against Kazakhstan
Poland, with the Deportivista goalkeeper Tytoń, will host Kazakhstan at the National Stadium in Warsaw (8:45 pm, local time), for a 2018 Russia World Cup qualifying match.
Poland are at the top of Group E with 16 points, and a 3-point advantage over Montenegro and Denmark with 13 points each.
Deportivista goalkeeper Przemysław Tytoń did not make it into Poland’s list for their match against Denmark at the Telia Park in Copenhagen. The Danish thrashed Poland 4-0.
Celso Borges beats USA
Celso Borges and his national team, Costa Rica, triumphed over USA (0-2) last night at the Bull Arena in Harrison (New Jersey).
The Deportivista midfielder played the whole 90 minutes of the Ticos’ well-rounded game.
On Tuesday 5 September, they will face Mexico (Estadio Nacional de San José, 8:05 pm, local time), one of the favourites to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.
As some media in Costa Rica point out, if Celso Borges plays against Mexico, he will become the first Costa Rican to have played the most World Cup qualifying matches, with a total of 43 appearances.
The Branquiazul midfielder has already played over 100 matches for Costa Rica.
No debut with Uruguay for Fede Valverde
The Uruguayan Football Federation have called Fede Valverde for their encounters to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup, in which La Celeste have to face Argentina and Paraguay.
This is the first time the national side have called the young Branquiazul midfielder, who was awarded the Silver Ball in 2017 U20 World Cup, in which Uruguay reached the semi-finals.
Uruguay faced Argentina in Montevideo last night at 1 am in Spain. The match was a deadlock (0-0), and the Deportivista midfielder did not get the chance to make his debut with his national side.
On Tuesday, the Uruguayans will play Paraguay (8 pm local time, 2 am on Wednesday 6 in Spain), at the Estadio Defensores del Chaco de Asunción, in the country’s capital.
La Celeste currently occupies the third position in South America’s qualifying stage with 24 points. The first four will go straight to compete in Russia, whilst the fifth will have to play against Oceania’s champion, and the winner of this game will also play in the World Cup.
