Krohn-Dehli makes it into Denmark’s squad

Deportivista Michael Krohn-Dehli has passed Denmark’s pre-selection of 35 men and has been chosen by Norwegian coach Åge Hareide for the next cut.

Out of the initial 35, Denmark now have a 27-men squad, in which the Branquiazul midfielder is included. 23 players will be chosen to represent the Scandinavian team in Russia.

Denmark’s World Cup fixtures are as follows:

Saturday 16 June
7 pm: PERU - DENMARK, at the Mordovia Arena (Saransk)

Thursday 21 June
4 pm: DENMARK - AUSTRALIA, at the Samara Arena

Tuesday 26 June
5 pm: DENMARK - FRANCE, at the Luzhniky Stadium (Moscow)

Denmark will also play two friendlies on Monday 2 June against Sweden at the Friends Arena in Stockholm (7:45 pm), and on Monday 9 June against Mexico at the Brondby Stadium in Brondby, Denmark (8 pm).

First friendly for Francis with Nigeria this afternoon, against Democratic Republic of Congo

Today (6 pm), Deportivista Francis will dispute his first pre-World Cup friendly with Nigeria. It will be in the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt (Nigeria), against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Nigeria will also play 2 other friendlies: on Saturday 2 June against England in London, and on Wednesday 6 June in Austria against the Czech Republic.

Nigeria coach, Gernot Rohr, has picked 30 players of which he will finally choose 23.

Fabian Schär joined the Swiss national team yesterday

The Swiss Football Association informed RC Deportivo last Thursday that Fabian Schär has been called to play in the 2018 Russia World Cup.

The Deportivista defender joined the team in Lugano yesterday.

It was a known secret that he would get called, as Schär was a regular starter for Switzerland in every qualifier and friendly this past year.

Ismael Diaz will play with Panama against Northern Ireland tomorrow

Fabrilista Ismael Diaz joins Panama’s 25-man squad for this Tuesday’s friendly (8 pm, Local time), against Northern Ireland at the Rommel Fernandez stadium in the City of Panama.

At the end of May, Panama’s Colombian coach, Hernan Dario Gomez, will publish the final list of 23 players.

Fede Valverde is already training on a daily basis with Uruguay in Uruguay Football Association’s training centre.

Celso Borges in Costa Rica

Costa Rica Football Federation have confirmed that Celso Borges, who has been training with the national team, will form part of the squad that will go to Russia.

Before the 3rd of June, the Ticos will say farewell to their fans with a friendly match against Northern Ireland in San Jose. Already in Europe, they will face England in Leeds (7 June) and Belgium in Brussels (11 June).
