Deportivo ABANCA striker, Nuria Rabano, participated with Spain in the U20 World Cup, which finished in Brittany this afternoon.

Today, Spain’s U20 Women played a historic final against Japan.

Both teams had already faced each other in the First Phase, where the Spaniards won 1-0.

However, on this occasion, the Japanese were better. Hinata Miyazawa scored the opener on the 38th minute in a match that was being dominated by Pedro Lopez’s players.

In the second half, Spain could not stop the Japanese avalanche, as Saori Takarada widened the lead on the 57th minute and Fuka Nagano on the 65th minute.

Candela Andujar cut the difference on the 71st minute, and 2 minutes later, Claudia Pina smashed the ball onto the crossbar; an action which could have changed the course of the game.

After 93 intense minutes, Spain fell defeated (1-3), but even so, made history with a Deportivista among its players.

Nuria made her debut in Group C’s last match, against USA.

The Branquiazul striker came on for Lucia Garcia on the 59th minute.
