Panama’s Ismael Diaz puts Fabril on the map once again

History was made today as Panama played their first ever World Cup match.
The encounter against Belgium ended with a European victory (3-0), and also made Fabril history. Ismael Diaz, Panama’s and Fabril’s striker, played the last 30 minutes against Belgium and became the second Fabril player in history to play in the World Cup.
The first one was goalkeeper Francis, who played with Nigeria against Croatia last Saturday.
Yesterday, Dépor was represented in two World Cup matches in Russia: Celso Borges with Costa Rica and Fabian Schär with Swizerland.
The ‘Ticos’ fell (0-1) against Serbia, with the Branquiazul midfielder on the pitch.
Fabian Schär also played the entire match against Brazil. The match ended in a draw (1-1), in which the Dépor centre-back was booked for tugging Neymar’s shirt. He also saved his team in the very last minute by clearing the ball off the line.
