Sidnei Rechel was the centre of attention in Abegondo this morning.

Regarding Friday’s match at the ABANCA-RIAZOR against Malaga CF (9 pm, Bein LaLiga), he stated that “we’ve come from lots of crucial weeks. Now we have to think about the next one and on Friday we have to get 3 points.”

He admitted, “we’re living a very complicated moment. We just have to think about gaining 3 points every match, no matter who the rival is.” It’s difficult being in the situation we're in. This is our concern. We have to work to pull this off,” he added.

He does not believe that the match against Malaga is the one with the most pressure: “We’ve been under pressure for many games. Friday is going to be a highly-strung match, where we know what's in play and how important it is.”

Sidnei urged for “everyone to be united because it's the only way we can achieve the objective.”

Knowing that Levante have an 8-point advantage, “we believe and we're working to achieve our objective.”

Along these lines, asked whether he would bet on Dépor staying in the Liga Santander, the Deportivista defender was to the point: “Of course! Otherwise I’d go home.”

He explained that the team is aware that “we can win many games. The other day (at the Wanda Metropolitano) was an example. I think we played really well, we deserved more, and in the end, we came home empty-handed. We completely believe in the group, in ourselves. We can gain the victories we need.”

Regarding the controversial penalty that gave Atletico Madrid the win, he highlighted “that kind of action happens in many games and nothing happens. It happened in this match. We have to move on and think of ourselves.”

Along these lines, he also believes that it is going to be crucial for “the moment we’re in and for everything that’s happened throughout the whole season, to minimise as much as possible our mistakes, because we’re paying each mistake very dearly.”

Sidnei concluded that in all the years he has been in A Coruña, “for what’s happened throughout the whole season, this may be the most complicated situation,” since he is a Dépor player.
