Sidnei: “We’re going to grow a lot as a team with every match played”
Sidnei stated in Abegondo’s press room this afternoon that with the international break “we can work on many things. I think it’s going to do us the world of good.”
Regarding Cristóbal Parralo, he stated “we're all very happy with his work. He’s come to help us, he can help us a lot.”
The Brazilian defender said that the new Deportivista coach “has his ideas, he has his own way of seeing the game. We’re all happy and working well with him.”
Hence, he is convinced that “We’re going to grow a lot as a team with every match played”.
Furthermore, he foresees that Dépor can keep up this line of work, “we’re going to get very far.”
He described the defeat against Atlético de Madrid as a “very hard blow, because of our work against a great team. We deserved much more. But this is football and it’s like that.”
Asked about the 12th fixture of LaLiga Santander, against a needy Málaga, on 19 November at La Rosaleda (12 pm, Bein LaLiga), Sidnei said, “it has the same importance for us. We face every match in the same serious manner and it’s not going to be different there.”
Referring to the Andalusian side, he said, “We don’t look at the other teams’ situations, we look at ours, and our work. We work on the things we want to do. That’s what’s most important and it’s what we’re looking to do.”
He went on to explain, “We can all grow individually, therefore we will grow as a group, collectively.”
Asked about the difficult fixtures that are coming up, with many of the rivals in the top positions, the Deportivista defender replied, “We’re preparing and thinking about each match as it comes along.”
