Switzerland, without Schär who was suspended, lost against Sweden and leaves the World Cup with no Deportivistas

03/07/2018 20:20

The Swiss lost against Sweden (1-0) in the Last 16 Round today, at St Petersburg Stadium.

The Branquiazul defender missed today’s game for picking up his second yellow card in the tournament.

At this stage of the competition, Schär was the only Deportivista survivor. He was in the line-up for all of Switzerland’s previous games in Russia, where he also played the full 90 minutes.

Thus, RC Deportivo is left without any players in the World Cup as the rest of them (Krohn-Dehli, Borges, Francis and Ismael Díaz) are already enjoying their holidays.
