The players who spoke to the press in Riazor’s mixed zone after the game against Alavés, understand the fans’ anger after the match.

“It’s normal. They’ve seen various games where the team hasn’t won. We also want to win. We’re giving it our all this year, but luck isn’t on our side”, said Luisinho, who made it to Gaizka Garitano’s starting XI this week.

Juanfran said the same along those lines: “It’s normal. We haven’t given them anything to be happy about in 2017. The fans have been behind us during the match, which is what is important. Then, they have to express their opinion. We respect it. What we have to do is give them something to be happy about, and I’m sure they´ll applaud. Because if there’s something our fans are, it’s exemplary. Even though we’ve let them down time after time, they’re always there supporting us”. He highlighted, “we got what we deserved”.

Luisinho believes that next Saturday in Butarque against Leganés, “we have to think that we have to win. We’re in a quite delicate situation”.

Juanfran admitted that “we’re very upset. In the end, another defeat. Without points, again. The string of results has worsened and we’re worried because we have to start getting points. The ones below us are winning and then we have games that are going to be difficult to obtain points”.

The Deportivista right-back recommends that “the team has to start being aggressive. We have to be the team we are. At the moment, we’re a bottom team and we have to do everything possible to make it more difficult for our rivals. We have to be realistic. We're going to suffer there. We have to begin to suffer like a team that’s fighting to not relegate”.
