Adrian and Raul Albentosa spoke in Estadio ABANCA-RIAZOR’s mixed zone.

The Branquiazul skipper sent a message to the fans: “We're going to give our all until the end. There are 27 points left and that’s the reality. We’re in a complicated situation. We’ve been in it for a long time. It’s a little more complicated now with Levante's result yesterday. We're going to carry on until the end. You never know, we may be able to get 2 or 3 back-to-back wins, we have to make the most of the moment, be ready and carry on believing.”

He highlighted that “every Deportivista wants Dépor to remain in Primera, us as players, the people as fans, and we have to stick together. There are 27 points left and we have to stick together until the end.”

Along these lines, he insisted, “there’s still a lot left, there’s still a chance. Levante came out top this matchweek, maybe we’ll come out top next time. We have to take each match as it comes along, knowing that in this league if you perform well you can beat any team.”

Today’s goal-scorer, Raul Albentosa, highlighted, “I know what I am, I know what I can give, I know what I contribute to this group. Because my teammates are behind me and also the people at the Club, nothing else matters.”

He described this year as “bad because of the team’s situation. It’s the hardest situation, but nobody is going to bring me down. I’m telling you.”

Regarding the match, the Deportivista centre-back highlighted “we were better in some occasions but that doesn’t matter. The only thing that matters is for the ball to go in and we found it hard.”

When he scored today’s goal, he felt “relief on a personal level because I needed a push. Confidence helped me grow as the match went on.”

Asked about the possibilities of remaining in Primera, Albentosa stated that, “whilst we still have options, we’re going to give our all and fight until the end. It’s the only thing I can tell you. It’s true we did very badly. We can’t change the past. I can only say what’s in my hands. I’m going to try and be on top form every day to win every match.” “I’m not going to throw in the towel and I know the team isn’t going to either,” he warned.

The team will return to work on Wednesday afternoon

Due to the international break, Seedorf has given his players several days rest.

The team will return to Abegondo on Wednesday 21 March, at 6 pm, to prepare the away match against Atletico de Madrid, on Sunday 1 April, at 8:45 pm (Bein LaLiga), at the Wanda Metropolitano.
