The Branquiazul U19s will play the first round of the UEFA Youth League against Polish side, MKS Pogoń Szczecin

After this morning’s draw in Nyon (Switzerland), our U19 side will play against MKS Pogoń Szczecin in the first qualifier of the UEFA Youth League, in the Domestic Champions Path.
The away game will be played in Poland on 29 September and the home game will take place in A Coruña on 20 October.
It is the first time that both clubs compete with their youth teams in this continental competition. Just like the Branquiazuis, MKS Pogoń Szczecin has won their domestic championship twice, once in 1986 and another in 2021.
If Manuel Pablo’s lads beat the Polish squad, their rival in the second round will be the winner of the match between the Lithuanian side, FK Žalgiris Vilnius, and the Israeli side Maccabi Haifa FC. If that were the case, they would play in A Coruña on 3 November and the second match on the 24th of the same month against the Lithuanian or Israeli team.
The eight winners of the second round will play against the eight runners-up of the Champions League Route in a qualifier which will be decided on 14 December and will be played on 8 and 9 of February in one match. From here, the eight teams that will complete the last round of 16 with the eight champions from the Champions League Path group and the draw will take place on 14 February and will be played on 1 and 2 March, also to be decided in one match.
