Four Deportivo players (Tytoń, Andone, Pantilimon and Fede Valverde) have commitments with Poland, Romania and Uruguay.

Tytoń visits Armenia

Deportivista goalkeeper, Przemysław Tytoń, has been called to play by his national team, Poland, for their next official matches to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Today, Poland will visit Germany at the Republican Stadium in Erevan, at 8 pm (local time).

On Sunday 8 October, the Polish side will play their last group match by hosting Montenegro at Warsaw's National Stadium, at 6 pm.

Poland are current Group E leaders with 19 points, followed by Montenegro and Denmark (both with 16 points), hence they are a step away from holding the first spot and going to Russia. If they were to drop to second place, Poland would most probably compete in one of the four play-offs to go to the World Cup.

Andone and Pantilimon host Kazakhstan in Romania

Florin Andone and Costel Pantilimon have been called to play for Romania’s national team for two official games, to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Therefore today, Romania will host Kazakhstan (9:45 pm, local time) at the Ilie Oanâ stadium in Ploiesti, and on Sunday 8 October, they will visit Denmark (6 pm, local time) at the Telia Parken stadium in Copenhagen.

Romania are fourth in Group E with 9 points. Poland are the current leaders with 19 points, followed by Montenegro and Denmark (both with 16 points), hence Romania can no longer qualify for the World Cup.

Fede Valverde in Venezuela with Uruguay

Deportivista Fede Valverde was called to play for Uruguay once more, for two official games to qualify for the next World Cup.

Today, Uruguay visits Venezuela (5 pm, local time, 11 pm in Spain), at the Estadio Polideportivo Pueblo Nuevo in San Cristobal.

On Tuesday 10 October, Uruguay will receive Bolivia (8:30 pm local time, early hours of the morning in Spain) at the Estadio Centenario in Montevideo

Fede Valverde debuted with La Celeste against Paraguay in Asuncion in their last match on Tuesday 5 September. The Deportivista midfielder scored the first goal in which Uruguay won 1-2.

Uruguay is in second position with 27 points, 10 points behind group leaders Brazil, who have 37 points. Colombia are third with 26 points, and Peru and Argentina both have 24 points. The first four will go straight to compete in Russia, whilst the fifth will have to play against Oceania’s champion, and the winner of this match will also play in the World Cup.

Crucial matches for Celso Borges with Costa Rica

Celso Borges, one of Deportivo’s captains and one of Costa Rica’s regulars, will play with his national team to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Tomorrow, Costa Rica will receive Honduras at the Estadio Nacional in San José, (8 pm local time, early hours of the morning in Spain).

And on Tuesday 10 October, Costa Rica will visit Panama (7 pm local time, early hours of the morning in Spain) at the Estadio Rommel Fernández in Panama City.

Costa Rica are second with 15 points in the CONCACAF standings, behind Mexico who have 18 points and have already qualified for the World Cup. Panama are third with 10 points, and USA fourth, with 9 points. The first three will get to go to Russia and the fourth will have to play a double leg play-off against the fifth-ranked Asian team; whoever wins this match will also get to go to the World Cup.

Fabian Schär has two official fixtures with Switzerland

Switzerland and Deportivista Fabian Schär, have two official games in October to qualify for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

On Saturday 7 October, Switzerland will host Hungary, at 8:45 pm at the St Jacob-Park stadium in Basel.
