“We played a great match against a great team,” but “we’re still lacking goal,” admitted Seedorf
Clarence Seedorf confessed at the Wanda Metropolitano’s press room he was “very proud of the way we played today. We played a great match against a great rival. We’re still lacking goal. At the end of the day, you have to score goals to win in football.”
The Dutch coach insisted, “when you play badly you play badly, and when you play well you have to acknowledge it. The team played a great match. Playing like that a win is practically ensured next week. But we have to play like that.”
Along these lines, he assured “whilst there’s still a chance mathematically, we’re not going to the throw in the towel. Impossible.”
Seedorf explained, Dépor is improving with time. We just need the results. But this is football. We’ve seen that a team can play 5 games really badly and win all five.”
He emphasized, “analysing the matches objectively gives the team strength to rise quickly, not lose spirit, confidence and believe. Only the maths will make us throw in the towel.”
