Borja Valle spoke in Estadio ABANCA-RIAZOR’s mixed zone. He described the season as “very complicated, very difficult. On a personal level I haven’t been as happy as I would’ve like to have been. I have a year left on my contract. We have to speak and decide. I’m not thinking about next year.”

The striker from Bierzo admitted “I have to highlight the positive things from this bitter, sad and difficult year. I’m living a dream, enjoying every second, making the most of it. In the end, the team’s dynamic and the Club’s situation don’t let you enjoy this moment as much. It’s true that from a selfish point of view, I’m living a dream, enjoying it and I’m very happy.”

Regarding the match, he commented that “Villarreal were playing for everything. They proved they're a great team and deserve to be where they are. At the end of the day it’s difficult to go out onto the pitch and not think about all the difficulties we're going through internally.”

Borja highlighted “we have to defend out entity and our badge. Above all, be professional. My teammates and I are proud of that. But it’s true that Villarreal did very well, they played very well and won fair and square.”
