Álex Bergantiños and Celso Borges suggest focusing on the league’s final sprint

Álex Bergantiños and Celso Borges spoke to the press in Riazor’s mixed zone.

The blue-and-white skipper believes that “neither team was very precise with the ball” in the Galician derby (#ONOSDERBI). The Deportivista midfielder believes that “we weren’t very precise playing the ball when we intercepted it today, unlike a week ago against Barcelona”.

In Álex’s opinion, effectiveness was what marked the difference in today’s encounter: “They got theirs. We had some very clear chances, especially Celso’s which could have changed the game completely around”. Throughout the league break it is time to “analyse what we haven’t done well”. “We know there are ten games left, the final sprint, and we cannot let our guard down”, he added.

Celso Borges, who will join Costa Rica’s national side tomorrow, noted that “it’s difficult to take in this result. The fact it hurts means we’re on the right track”.
He highlighted that this defeat “has to help us improve for the next fixtures”. “We have to carry on because this doesn’t finish here”, he concluded.
