Four Dépor players lined up with their national teams this weekend

This weekend 4 Deportivistas had pre-World Cup friendlies with their national teams: Celso Borges, Fabian Schär, Michael Krohn-Dehli and Fabrilista Francis Uzoho. All of them were in their national team’s line-up.

Today, Celso Borges played in San Jose, Costa Rica, and Schär in Villarreal against Spain.

Yesterday, Krohn-Dehli played with Denmark and Francis with Nigeria. Both of them have been confirmed for the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Ismael Diaz is already in Oslo (Norway) with Panama, to play a friendly. Today, Panama trained in the Arasen Stadion in Lillestrom.

Costa Rica bid their fans a successful farewell

Today, Costa Rica bid farewell to their fans with a friendly match against Northern Ireland in San Jose.

The ‘Ticos’ won 3-0. Celso Borges was in the starting eleven and played 63 minutes. Dépor’s midfielder came off for Yeltsin Tejeda.

When they arrive in Europe, they will face England in Leeds (7 June) and Belgium in Brussels (11 June).

Fabian Schär in Switzerland’s line-up

Switzerland played the first preliminary match today. It was against Spain at the Estadio de la Ceramica in Villarreal. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.

Fabian Schär was in the line-up and played the first half. The Branquiazul defender came off at half-time for Johan Djourou.

Back in Lugano, Switzerland will play another friendly against Japan on Friday 8 June (7 pm).

Francis is called to play for Nigeria

Fabril goalkeeper, Francis, has been picked for Nigeria’s squad in the 2018 Russia World Cup.

Thus, he joins the other confirmed Deportivistas Celso Borges, Fabian Schär, Ismael Diaz and Michael Krohn-Dehli.

Yesterday, Nigeria, with Fabril goalkeeper Francis in the line-up, faced England in Wembley stadium for another friendly (2-1).

The Fabrilista keeper played the entire match and saved his team from conceding more goals with some superb saves.

Last Monday, Deportivista Francis played his first pre-World Cup friendly with Nigeria. It was in the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt (Nigeria), against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The Fabrilista goalkeeper played the entire game in which they drew 1-1. Francis only conceded one goal and it was because Nigeria’s rivals were given a penalty as Nigerian defender Ola Aina pushed a rival in the box.

Nigeria have another friendly scheduled on Wednesday 6 June (3 pm), against the Czech Republic at the NV Arena in St Poelten (Austria).

Precisely, the African team arrived in Austria this afternoon, in Bad Tatzmannsdorf, where they will get ready before they go to Russia.

Krohn-Dehli picked for the World Cup

Deportivista Michael Krohn-Dehli has been picked by Norwegian coach Åge Hareide to go to the World Cup with Denmark.

Yesterday, the Danish team drew against Sweden (0-0) in the Scandinavian derby. Krohn-Dehli was in the line-up and came off for Lasse Schöne in the 60th minute.

On 9 June (8 pm), Denmark will face Mexico at the Brøndby stadium in Brøndby (Denmark).

Panama trained in Lillestrom today

Panama, who are already in Oslo, will face Norway in the Norwegian capital on Wednesday 6 June, at the Ullevaal Stadium at 7 pm, for the last preliminary friendly,

Today, Panama trained in the Arasen Stadion in Lillestrom.

On Wednesday night, Panama played in front of their fans before leaving to Europe, where they drew 0-0 against Northern Ireland at the Rommel Fernandez stadium, in which Fabrilista striker played the last 30 minutes.
