Luisinho spoke to the press in Abegondo this morning.

The Deportivista left-back described the team’s situation as “delicate. We're worried. we’re a bit upset with the situation the team is going through.”

Referring to the fans, Luisinho said, “we cannot say anything to them. They’ve put up with a lot of suffering these years. The only solution is to win. And for that, we have to respond on the pitch.”

He assured that the team “is not competing. We’re all to blame for what’s happening. It shouldn’t happen because we are professional footballers. We know it’s a difficult situation, delicate. Probably the most difficult moment up until now. But it’s the players that have to pull this off. There’s no other way.”

He spoke of being “united. Not creating selfish battles. It’s not an easy moment. Words aren’t enough now and we have to act.”

Asked about Cristobal Parralo, Luisinho believes “he does everything possible to pull this off the best way. He's not achieving it. We are to blame for this situation.

As the player who has been in the squad the longest, the Deportivista defender insisted in that remaining in first division this season is more complicated than previous years: “Each game is difficult, and the team doesn’t react as it should. The rivals are different, more competitive than previous years. It’s going to be a difficult battle until the end. We can’t throw in the towel. There are still many points to be played. If we give up, we’ll relegate.”

“First of all, we have to believe. If we don’t believe, we won’t go anywhere. The first step is to believe in ourselves, hope that this can change. But as quick as possible.”

Regarding Dépor’s next fixture against Betis at home in the Estadio ABANCA-RIAZOR, on Monday 12 February (9 pm, Gol), he pointed out, “we have to start winning. Not just make points but start winning. Making one point isn’t enough. We have to start winning and believe it’s possible. The first to give up, drops to Segunda.”
