Luisinho believes the penalty was “pivotal” and Borges does not believe that “we performed as badly as to concede 4 goals”
Luisinho and Celso Borges spoke to the press in RCDE Stadium’s mixed zone. Both starred in the action which saw the only Deportivista goal and momentarily put Dépor back in the game with a 2-1.
Luisinho admitted that “we didn’t begin the game well. We conceded two goals very quickly. Then we tried to control the ball, but we were unable to get a goal in the first half. We were better in the second half; we scored a goal and when we were at our best, we suffered a penalty. That was pivotal to the match”.
About the goals conceded at the start of the match, the Portuguese left-back, who has been in the team the longest, warned that “the match lasts from the first to the last minute and we have to be focused”.
When speaking about their position, Luisinho expects a “competitive and hard” league. “You have to fight for every match. Now we have a home game against Getafe and we have to win it”.
This morning’s goal scorer at the RCDE Stadium, Celso Borges, highlighted that “we have to face this. It’s unfair that when you win, everything’s lovely, and when you lose, you hide”.
In his opinion: “I don’t believe that we performed as badly as to concede 4 goals. That's how unfair this can be sometimes”.
He insisted that “there are many game situations that we do well, and others where we all have to improve as a team. It’s not about pinning the blame an anyone. At the end of the day, the benefit of winning is for all of us”.
