Clarence Seedorf stated in ABANCA-RIAZOR's press room, “as each day goes by I’m prouder of what they’re doing (the players). I know how difficult it is for them, and that it’s been like this for them for a long time. It’s amazing what they’re pulling off as a group.”

He explained that “in this last month, we have to keep on getting fitter, carry on with this intensity, with this professionalism every day... We must respect the effort they’re making. The nicest thing for me is when people acknowledge this. Today we experienced another beautiful moment with our fans.”

He highlighted Ruben’s performance among others’: “He had a great match. He’s been in good form for weeks, helping in key moments. Albentosa, Schär, who hadn’t played for a few weeks. Everyone is going to have their moment. Luisinho, and other players like Fernando Navarro, who have great leadership, positivity in the back. It’s the spirit the lads have created. That’s why we’re like we are today. We’ve been playing the past 4 matches at a great level, except for the first half against Malaga. The team have found a good identity and stance.”

On the other hand, Vincenzo Montella, Sevilla’s coach, described the match as “very intense. The result was strange, 0-0. Sevilla began the match very well. We could’ve scored some goals. In the end, we could’ve lost, because we were lucky with they hit the post. Soria made two very good saves.”
