Emre Çolak spoke to the press in Abegondo this afternoon.

The Turkish international stated he understood the fans’ anger: “They’re right, because Dépor fans are passionate about football and they want to see their team in a good position.”

The Branquiazul midfielder believes, “these fans, this Club, this city, don’t deserve this situation.”

He told the press, “I like to go out, go out for dinner... With this situation I don’t want to go out much, I don’t want to see their faces (the fans’). I know they're all sad. We are to blame for this situation.”

Nevertheless, he is grateful for the fans’ affection, which he witnessed when he came off against UD Las Palmas last Saturday: “I know the fans like me. They’ve supported me from the very first day.”

He believes the team is doing “badly, everyone knows that. We have to turn this situation around. We’re training for this, to improve this situation. I hope luck is on our side.”

With Clarence Seedorf on the bench, Çolak highlighted, “I feel very good. I’m ready to play.” However, he insisted his position is as “an attacking midfielder. I feel more comfortable in this position.”

The Deportivista midfielder believes that the key “is to score a goal. If we scored a goal, everything would be different. We haven’t been lucky goal-wise. If we had scored a goal, we’d be talking about other things today.”
